Frequently asked questions

Do Indians need a visa for Thailand?

As of 2024, Indian passport holders can avail a Thailand Tourist Visa on Arrival (VOA) valid for 15 days at Suvarnabhumi Airport. It costs approx. THB 2,000 (~₹4,500). Alternatively, apply for a 60-day Tourist Visa from the Royal Thai Embassy in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, or Kolkata. E-Visa facility is also available online.

Is Indian vegetarian / Jain food available in Pattaya & Bangkok?

Yes! Both Pattaya and Bangkok have several Indian restaurants serving pure veg, Jain, and South Indian food. Our package includes dinners at Indian restaurants. Pattaya's Walking Street and Sukhumvit area in Bangkok have excellent Indian eateries. Please inform us at booking for Jain meal arrangements.

What currency should Indians carry to Thailand?

Thailand's currency is the Thai Baht (THB). 1 THB ≈ ₹2.3 (approx.). It is recommended to carry USD or EUR from India and exchange at authorised money changers (SuperRich, Vasu, etc.) in Bangkok for the best rates. Credit/debit cards are widely accepted at malls and hotels. Avoid exchanging at the airport as rates are poor.

Is this package suitable for families with elderly members or children?

Absolutely. This itinerary is specifically designed to be comfortable for Indian families including seniors and children. All transfers are in air-conditioned coaches. Nong Nooch Garden and Coral Island are child-friendly. Walking distances are manageable. We also offer wheelchair assistance at airports on prior request.

Can I extend this trip or add more days in Bangkok?

Yes, we offer customisable extensions. Popular add-ons: +1 night Bangkok for Chatuchak Market & Jim Thompson House; +2 nights Chiang Mai for elephant sanctuary & hill tribes; +3 nights Krabi/Phuket for island beaches. Contact us for custom quotations tailored to your group size and budget.

Is it safe for solo Indian women or female groups to travel?

Thailand is considered one of the safest destinations in Southeast Asia for women travellers. Pattaya and Bangkok are well-policed tourist areas. Our female-friendly package includes vetted accommodation, female guide options on request, and a 24/7 support helpline. Standard travel safety precautions apply as with any destination.
