Itinerary

DAY 1: DELHI TO MATHURA: ARRIVAL & SACRED DARSHAN

Your tour begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel, the approximately 160-kilometre drive to Mathura along the Yamuna Expressway — Begin the tour by seeking blessings from the main temple

  • Shri Krishna Janmasthan : Begin your pilgrimage at the holiest site in Mathura — believed to be the exact birthplace of Lord Krishna.
  • Shri Bhuteshwar Mahadev Temple: One of Mathura's oldest temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva as the eternal guardian of the city. The morning aarti at 6 AM is spectacular if you can catch it on an alternate day.
  • Vishram Ghat: Take a holy dip or simply sit by the Yamuna river at this sacred ghat where Krishna is said to have rested after slaying Kansa. The ghats are most atmospheric in the early morning and during sunset aarti. Try authentic Mathura ke pede (sweet) and local thalis at restaurants near the ghat area.
  • Shri Dwarkadhish Temple: A magnificent 19th-century temple right by Vishram Ghat. The evening aarti here is spectacular — timing it perfectly at 4 PM is highly recommended. The ornate architecture and vibrant devotional atmosphere make this a highlight of Mathura. Evening,  Stroll through the busy bazaars of Mathura, pick up pede sweets, and settle into your hotel.

DAY 2: VRINDAVAN : TEMPLES, GROVES & PREM MANDIR

  • ISKCON Krishna Balaram Mandir : Start with the uplifting morning kirtan at ISKCON Vrindavan.
  • Shri Radhavallabh Lal Ji Temple: A unique and deeply spiritual temple where Radha Rani is the central deity — unlike most Krishna temples.
  • Shri Banke Bihari Temple: The most beloved and chaotic temple in Vrindavan. The famous curtain-darshan (where the curtain opens and closes every few minutes) is unlike any other temple experience in India. Be prepared for enthusiastic crowds.
  • Seva Kunj & Nidhivan: Walk through these sacred groves where Krishna and Radha are believed to have danced. Nidhivan closes at sunset and has a mystical, deeply revered atmosphere.
  • Prem Mandir: Visit ONLY in the evening. The illuminated white marble structure with its dynamic colorful lighting display is breathtaking. Built by Kripalu Ji Maharaj over 12 years using Italian marble, it's both a spiritual and visual wonder.

Day 3: VRINDAVAN TO AGRA: TAJ MAHAL, AGRA FORT

After breakfast and check-out, you depart Vrindavan for Agra — approximately 70 kilometres south along the Yamuna Expressway, a smooth and scenic drive of about 1.5 hours.

  • The Taj Mahal — The Eternal Monument of Love
No journey to Agra is complete without standing before the Taj Mahal — one of the most extraordinary structures ever built by human hands and rightfully counted among the Seven Wonders of the World. Allow at least 90 to 120 minutes to explore the gardens, the main mausoleum, and the riverside terrace at the back, from where the Yamuna River is visible in the distance
  • Note:Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays, so plan around that
  •  Lunch at a recommended local restaurant — where you can savour Agra's famous petha sweets and Mughlai cuisine.
  • After your Taj Mahal visit, proceed to the magnificent Agra Fort — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest examples of Mughal military and palace architecture in the entire subcontinent. Built primarily by Emperor Akbar in 1565 and later embellished by Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb.
  • Mehtab Bagh — The Moonlit Garden
Make the short trip to Mehtab Bagh — the Moonlit Garden — located directly across the Yamuna River from the Taj Mahal on the opposite bank. This Mughal garden was originally built by Emperor Babur and later restored by Shah Jahan as a viewing garden for the Taj.
